Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Maxi

Oh Monday, you beast! Aren't weekends supposed to rejuvenate our souls, and motivate us to tackle a new week?! It always seems to be the opposite for me...the more fabulous the weekend, the harder it is to return to work! All weekends do is make me wish I were a lady of leisure, then everyday would be Saturday! #callingallsugardaddies  ;)

And this weekend was certainly fabulous, with two full days of uninterrupted time, just the four of us.  Minus the backseat bickering at mile marker 217, the road trip was a successful one. I'll share our adventure to The Woodlands Resort with you soon, but for now, it's full-steam ahead prepping for our trip to the Mediterranean. I'm trying not to panic, but we leave Thursday! As in, three days away!!

Ask me what I've done to prepare. Um, nothing! Am I packed? No! Do I have the kids schedules organized, end-of-year teacher gifts bought, or even laundry done? No, nope, and not even close.

But what I have done, is order a whole slew of dresses for evenings on the ship!! #priorities It's not really necessary to go all-out, as even a sundress would be suitable for Formal Night, but I'm never one to pass up the opportunity to dress up.

Problem is, I love, love, love all three dresses I ordered...but my bank account says to choose one...so I'm hoping y'all can help!

ONE // Obviously I'm continually drawn to this dress, as this is the second time I've tried it on. But never in this gorgeous pink and navy combo. The high-waist band makes me look taller, and the back has a gorgeous sash at the neck.

TWO //  I actually squealed when I put this one on, then proceeded to twirl and swish the skirt...but it was an immediate 'NO' from my kids. I think there's something very elegant and classy about the pleats, and the gold chain at the neck makes it modern.

Hi Sugarplum | Dressing room diaries

THREE // Are you surprised all three are pink? Of course not, it's mah signachuh cullah! #namethatmovie This one has the same fit and open-back as the first dress, but a softer floral pattern. It also comes with a pink sash for the waist, but I think I prefer it without. And since all three dresses are petite, no alterations needed!

Fit Tip: I'm wearing a 2P in all three dresses. The length is perfect for heels, and I have plenty of breathing/eating room.

FOUR // This lace midi is completely different, but fun, so I thought I'd throw it in for another option.

As for what else I'm packing, of course my go-to, wear-everywhere dress...it accompanies me on every single trip. Also, this striped maxi dressmy favorite tees and white jeansthis wrap dress (if the new size comes in time), and the world's most perfect romper.

I've been wearing these shoes around for about a month, and they're super comfy, so I think those, along with these sandals, will be my day shoes for exploring. I've also got a few maybe's...like this palm dress, and this scarf print dress. Yeah, I'm a little embarrassed by the amount of shopping I've done, but come on...it's two weeks in the Mediterranean!!! ;)

I've got a monster-sized Dressing Room Diaries coming up later this week, but I needed your opinion on these dresses first, so I can pack. So cast your vote...which one should I take on the cruise?

  3. Three!! So fresh and pretty!

  4. My colors are blush and bashful, mama. YOUR COLORS ARE PANK AND PANK. And I absolutely ADORE #3 on you! Maybe without the sash?!? I mean, you look FANTASTIC in all of them, but 3 is really speaking to me!

    ReplyDelete
  5. You look gorgeous in them all, but number one or three are my favorites!

    ReplyDelete
  6. They are all just perfect on you but #3 is da bomb!

    ReplyDelete
  7. One or three - maybe three without the sash, they all look so lovely on you! Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  8. #3 is the winner. And the sash just adds that extra touch.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Love 2 and the white midi dress..Have a great trip!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I vote for #1! Although I love them all.

    ReplyDelete
  11. When a lady can wear a size 2, anything looks good!!! You look fabulous in all of them, but I love (and want) #3 - no sash! Have a wonderful time!

    ReplyDelete
  12. They are all pretty but I think 1 is my favorite!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Love number 1!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sheaffer's comment had me laughing! I choose 3 and if you can sweet talk Mr. Sugar Plum or find that sugar daddy :) keep #4 too! Happy Monday!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Love #1 second choice would be #3.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My favorite is dress number 1, but you can't go wrong because all of them are gorgeous! Hope you have a wonderful time!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I love #1 , followed very closely by #3 with the sash! Hot mama!!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. One or three. I think three! :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. three or four, i adore white lace so i'm always drawn to it but there's something about 3 that shouts summer evenings!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I vote the 3rd but love #1 too!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love the floral halter maxi! #3 Extremely flattering cut and colors! Don't be embarrassed about shopping for an amazing trip like this! So fun!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ooo, eager to hear about your weekend at The Woodlands Resort! I may need to plan a staycation there! Ok, so it's hard to choose between 1 and 3 because they're both gorgeous on you!!! I think I would go with 3. The pattern doesn't take away from seeing YOU, the pretty pleats at the bust don't get lost, and overall it's just perfect :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. 4!! So flattering. but I love them all too

    ReplyDelete
  24. So fun! Can't wait to hear about your trip! I vote for 1 or 4. I actually wore #1 to a rehearsal dinner a few months back and felt like a princess all night! But I love that white option too! Here is the dress report: http://southernstateofmindblog.com/2016/02/style-state-of-mind-beach-destination-wedding.html

  25. #3 - although as others have stated, you can't go wrong with any of them. Something about a petite small that (almost) always looks adorable!! Can't wait to hear more about your weekend, as I "pin" all of your travel posts to refer to later.

    ReplyDelete
  26. They all look great but #3 is my favorite!

    ReplyDelete
  27. They are all beautiful, but there is something about #3 (without the sash) that says VACATION.

    ReplyDelete
  28. three...Floral Halter Maxi Dress

    ReplyDelete
  29. #3 edges out #1 for my vote! It looks more romantic and I like the fit better!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Love #3! They are all beautiful but that one is a knock out!

    ReplyDelete
  31. You couldn't go wrong with any of them, but I like #3.

    ReplyDelete
  32. #3 is my absolute favorite.

    ReplyDelete
  33. # 1 for the win! I actually like both 1 & 3, but, I'm choosing 1 because I think the pattern is more unique and I love how it looks around your waist. Hope you aren't offended by my next comment. I think the sash on 3 adds a bit of weight around your waist.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Your children have no idea what they're talking about- #2 looks great as does the white midi dress.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love #3 on you! To me is says VACATION! #1 would be my second choice. We are going on an Alaskan cruise next month and I have been looking at your posts from last year and doing some shopping myself. Thanks for all the inspiration!

    ReplyDelete
  36. 3, minus the sash is my vote (and the one my 3 year old likes best too). But, they're all gorgeous on you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I vote for 1 and I hope you'll have a beautiful trip. I'm french and I leave in south of France near the see. It's a good season to travel around Mediterranean. Excuse my bad english and welcome in south of France !

    ReplyDelete
  38. 1 or 3...1 accentuates your waist while 3 (without the belt) makes you look 5 million feet tall!

    ReplyDelete
  39. #3 is definitely my fave! So soft and pretty and you have options with the sash! I love #4 too but feel like you'll get more use out of the third option. Can't wait to hear (and see pics) about your big trip!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I love how sassy #1 is, and how classy #2 is - you can't go wrong with any of them though! :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I say option one since you keep coming back to it!! But option three is just as pretty๐Ÿ˜Š

    ReplyDelete
  42. #3 is the winner for sure (w/o sash). #2 is a close second, #4 sweet and #3, I'm with the kids, not a fan- AT ALL.

    ReplyDelete
  43. All of them are absolutely stunning on you! I can see why you're having trouble deciding! However, #3 is definitely my favorite. It's so soft & pretty. Very elegant.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I vote for either number 1 or 3. But without the sash.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 3 is my favorite and girl you look TALL in it! So good.
If mister SP and Little Lady take the little girl guitar show on the road and strike it big? Get #4 too because it's fantastic on you.
Love the back ground shots of them!

    ReplyDelete
  46. LOVE them all! Good luck choosing! If I had to choose, it would be #1. Have fun! Love your blog for all it's content and positivity!

    ReplyDelete
  47. You MUST buy number 3 (wear without the sash) and number 4 (because, hello, it's not a maxi dress, and so falls into a whole different category of necessity!) Both are gorgeous! Enjoy your cruise!

    ReplyDelete
  48. LOVE number 2! Such a good staple piece! And so gorgeous!

    ReplyDelete
  49. #4 as it's more versatile and can be worn for so many occasions after, and in so many ways.

    ReplyDelete
  50. #3 is gorgeous and I also like #1 but 3 seems more summery and vacation-y :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. #3 minus the sash, the scale and design of the pattern are perfect on you! Bon Voyage!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Love love love #1 and #3, the pattern on #3 seems more summery and I'm-a-lady-of-leisure-on-a-yacht....

    ReplyDelete
  53. They all look great on you - the print on number 3 is my favorite!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I vote #3! all are awesome though! Love those dressing room diaries posts! can't wait for the next one.
    Enjoy the trip!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Dress 1 or 3 - both look great!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I really like Dress #1!!! You look beautiful in them all, but I kept scrolling back up to that first dress. ps-for dress #3 I definitely agree no pink sash! lol

    ReplyDelete
  57. Dress #3 is beautiful on you. The colors in the fabric are very flattering and the tie at the neckline on the back of the dress is quite stunning. Wishing you a wonderful vacation ahead!

    ReplyDelete
  58. #3 - no sash :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. #3 is beautiful on you and I like it even better with the sash, I like the pop of solid bright pink. Second choice is #1.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Number 1 and number 3..

    ReplyDelete
  61. I love how #3 looks on you. It's perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  62. WHITE MIDI - done and done!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. #3 is so cute and light and breezy looking. Less heavy than the others!

    ReplyDelete
  64. You look just darling in all of them, but if I had to choose... Maxi #3 and the lace midi--you can have both, right?!

    ReplyDelete
  65. #3 without the sash. So breezy! Have a wonderful time ๐Ÿ˜Š

    ReplyDelete
  66. #3 is the winner. And pack your absolutely most comfortable walking shoes. I'm four days into vacation in Vienna. Think cobblestones everywhere. And marble foors and stairs, more stairs than you can imagine. I think the ceilings in our apartment must be 14 ft high. That's a lot of stairs. A waterproof jacket and small umbrella for those inevitable rainy days.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Ever since you showed that 1st dress a few months back, I have been dreaming about it -- I LOVE that dress! However, #3 is really pretty (minus the sash!). #4 is just adorable, and is not a maxi, so I think that you should get that 1 too! Totally needed! My very 1st cruise, my hubs and I went on --- OMWOORD!! The shopping I did - and it was only a 7 day!! You go girl....have the BEST time ever!! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  68. #3 without the sash! Have fun!! xo

    ReplyDelete
  69. Definitely number three...without the sash. You look fab in all of them, though!
    http://whosaprettygirl.com

    ReplyDelete
  70. My vote is for #3..super pretty and feminine! Love the photo with your husband and daughter goofing off in the background!haha

    ReplyDelete
  71. #3! It says vacation and tropical. It's so pretty. I agree, maybe no sash. That being said, #4 looks really terrific on you, and I could see you wearing that to many different occasions. Get both if you can! (oh, and the pleats on #2 seem so not travel friendly, just sayin')

    ReplyDelete
  72. #3! And have a great time!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I love number 3, and it seems like it could be a versatile dress. You look great in all 4 though!

    ReplyDelete
  74. all look great, but 3 is my favorite by a long shot!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Oh my...hard decision here! I really do think I love #3 the best even though before I saw it I thought #1 would be. And YES to the #4 regardless. So cute!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I think the pink floral is really the one.................looks like everyone thinks the same! Good Luck and have a wonderful trip!

    ReplyDelete
  77. 3! 3! 3! It is PERFECT for the occasion! It's formal, yet kinda beachy and relaxed at the same time. So fun!

    ReplyDelete
  78. #3 - with or without the sash - you wear it well either way!! =)

    ReplyDelete
  79. #3 without the sash. #1 is a close second...

    ReplyDelete
  80. #3 without the pink sash/ Love the softer color.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The sash on # 3 is adorable but not getting much love
    Definitely #3

    ReplyDelete
  82. I love #3 on you (without the sash)! So pretty!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Going against the current, I have to say that I like numbers 2 and 4 -- to me, they let YOU shine instead of the dress. How cool to see all your different options and resulting opinions, though! Hope you have an absolute blast.

    ReplyDelete
  84. My favorites are #1 and #4. The first maxi makes you looks soooo tall!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. My vote is 3 without the sash, but #4 is so fun too!

    ReplyDelete
  86. If they were hanging on a rack I would say #1 (I'm a sucker for geometric). BUT #3 is absolutely gorgeous on you...sans sash.

    ReplyDelete
  87. #1 for sure. It is somehow dressy, edgy AND casual all at the same time! My least favorite is the pleated one; though very pretty on you, it feels too fussy for this occasion. (Love your blog, and hello from a fellow Texan...in fact I am in the Metroplex!). Have a wonderful trip! Can't wait to read all about it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. #1 and #3 are the best!!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. I was all prepared to say #1 because of the neckline...you have the BEST shoulders. And then I scrolled down to find they are all cut the same! But, I think I am still going with number 1. 3 is beautiful too! Hope you have a wonderful trip!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I scrolled thru a million times bc they are all so lovely, but I think I'm voting for #3. It is so classy, yet fun, with or without the sash. I do think you need to pull the trigger on #1 someday though! The pleated dress is also gorg, but your go-to dresses for the trip are solids, so have some fun with pattern here (though I adore the palm tree and scarf dresses too and those are obviously patterned ;) Have a fabulous trip! Can't wait to see your choices!

    ReplyDelete
  91. All so pretty but 1 or 3 are my favs too. I'd go for #3 just because the pattern is so fresh and screams summer. You can't go wrong with either one. Have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  92. First, you are hilarious. I just plain enjoy reading your blog. Ok, the floral dress is too "Easter" for a cruise I think. Sorry if that sounds silly. The rest are just gorgeous on you but I say #1 because you keep going back to it. And I love the fit on you!

    ReplyDelete
  93. So, all look beautiful on you, but #3 gets my vote. I actually gasped when I scrolled down.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Definitely #3...it's PERFECT! But you also need #4 because...lace.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I adore #3!!!! (The floral maxi) The Lace embroidered midi runs a close second though:):) Get both:):):)

    ReplyDelete
  96. #4! Not only is it striking on you, it also has the most possibilities when changing up the color of your accessories.

    ReplyDelete
  97. They're all beautiful but I LOVE #3 the floral!! AND #4 because, lace!

    ReplyDelete
  98. #3 for sure! So pretty! But definitely without the sash!

    ReplyDelete
  99. The pink floral without a doubt๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’•
    Have a wonderful trip!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. i loved three until i saw four! go white!
you look gorgeous in all of them though :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. Wonderful dress as an example.

    ReplyDelete
  102. You look fantastic in #3. Definitely. It pops.

    ReplyDelete
  103. #3, but #4 is beautiful and I think I need it too :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. One and three (no sash) are lovely! Depending on what else you pack may help you decide between the geometric or floral. I'm with your kids - no to number 2 - it's a little mother of the bride for me (sorry!). Have a wonderful trip!

    ReplyDelete
  105. #3 Is my choice! The floral is perfect for a Mediterranean trip!

    ReplyDelete
  106. the first one for the cruise, and the white lace looks great on you for other occasions

    ReplyDelete
  107. When I first read this yesterday my original thought was #3, #3, #3! In fact, I just ordered that one for a wedding I'm attending in a couple weeks (I had to return a few dresses before I let myself order).

That said after re-reading your post today I think you should go with #2. If you got that excited trying it on you'll love wearing it.

    ReplyDelete
  108. #3! That dress looks "vacationy"! Have a great trip!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Yes, I agree with so many others that 1 and 3 are great, but 3 just seems so lovely and feminine and summery!

    ReplyDelete
  110. 1 & 3 are definitely my favorites--but clearly you have a special fondness for #1, as you've come back to it again!
You look gorgeous in all options though-tough decision!
    XO, Jaclyn

    ReplyDelete
  111. 3 without the sash for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  112. How do you even choose one outfit? I love the straight hair.

    ReplyDelete

Your comments are like popcorn with milk duds, I just can't quit them. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive thoughts! xoxo, cass
