{Backyard DIY} Patio Side Table

I can't thank you guys enough for your kind comments and emails regarding yesterday's post. It's always scary to peel back the blog, and reveal true parts of your heart...but every time, you're so encouraging and gracious about it. It's interesting, and sad, how many of us share similar situations in our own families. I hope that you are able to work through it, and find forgiveness and happiness.

But enough of the heavy, let's get back spraypaint! We revealed our Patio Refresh a few weeks ago, which was chock full of simple and inexpensive DIY projects. Once we switched up the furniture arrangement, I realized I needed a small side table to sit between the I created my own.

Are you ready for the intensive list of supplies and directions? Well, you won't find it on this post, because this project is crazy basic.

{What You Need}

Plant Stand
Terracotta Saucer that fits the stand

{What You Do}

Paint the two components, let dry, then place the saucer in the stand. Done.

I love her pretty curved legs, and narrow profile. We're short on space in the backyard, but it fits perfectly between the chairs, and provides enough room to set a few drinks. #priorities

And the beauty is, I can easily change out the color combination when my mood strikes! You can see the full patio here.

Stay tuned for the final two projects in this space...the towel hooks and tassel pillow!

Other Patio projects include:

  1. Listen. If one day you come home from work to find me lounging by your pool, just blame yourself. Your backyard is calling my name.

  2. What a great idea! I was just in a nursery, and saw beautiful plant stands, and wished I had a use for them. Now I do!

  3. I painted some terra cotta pots and all of the paint peeled off. Do you use special paint?

    1. Hey, Kris! I used good ole Rustoleum with primer, and so far so good!! It's only been about a month, but it's been in the sun and rain.

  4. Love, love love this!! What an awesome idea. I have an old plant stand in my garage, and now I have a project for it! Yay!

  5. I still hate that I missed out on those runners from this's so my colors.
    California To Carolina
    The Gym Bunny

  6. What a great idea! Love how it blends with your otomi table but has it's own little personality!

Your comments are like popcorn with milk duds, I just can't quit them. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive thoughts! xoxo, cass
