Happy Summer Table

If you've been reading this blog for longer than 5 minutes, then you know this place setting is likely to never happen around my house. As much as I can appreciate a calm and serene vibe, I'm just too drawn to color to ever stick with an all-white palette.

Hi Sugarplum | Cheery Outdoor Table

Tablescape inspiration can come from virtually anywhere...and this time, I found mine from Crystal Light Liquid!

crystal light

We are serious Crystal Light drinkers around here...in fact, we probably mix a new pitcher every other day. (So basically my colon is red dye #7.) The problem is, we each have our own favorite flavor, and no two are the same. The dilemma is now solved, since Crystal Light Liquid allows us to mix our own individual glass or bottle.

Hi Sugarplum | Cheery Outdoor Table

I took inspiration from my favorite flavor, Strawberry Lemonade, and created a happy table of red, pink and yellow.

Hi Sugarplum | Cheery Outdoor Table

I added Crystal Light Liquid to a glass of Fresca, with a squeeze of fresh lemon, for the perfect Summertime drink. Doesn't this say, 'afternoon by the pool' to you?! Don't mind if I do!

The kids each mixed their favorite flavors, then we made custom popsicles!

Hi Sugarplum | Cheery Outdoor Table

I'd do just about anything to see these faces!

While I can appreciate a clean, all-white place setting,

We much prefer the jazzed up version!

  1. I love your vibe! The mix of colors and patterns is so fun! And this post makes me thirsty...I never would've thought of mixing the flavoring with a carbonated beverage. Yummy!

  5. I don't really find inspiration anywhere... at least not that I'm aware of. Maybe I should? It would probably make my outfits a lot more interesting.

Oh, by the way, your photos in this post are fantastic! Especially that one with the flowers, Crystal Light, and cut up lemons. I just stared at it for a full minute. The colors are so vibrant. Hey, maybe I'll take inspiration from your blog from now on. :)

  6. Whatever random things I have on hand!

  7. Okay..so add vodka to your drink....and you've got my Summer Drink! The one that I drink at the ranch allllllllll the time. I also like to add a little fresh lemon or lime. You're welcome.

  10. Oh I'm with you, sister, the whole "white out" setting just doesn't ring my bell like all the bold COLOR! Blogs are definitely one of my maj forms of tablescape inspiration, but dang it if all those fun Crystal Light colors aren't just begging to be copied! (c; And I seriously want to steal that fabric from your table covering, it's all kinds of yummy (c:
