You probably thought I'd given up on my Living Room Plan List. No, it's just taking me the usual forever to finish a room. One of the items on the list was to recover the cushions of the cane barrel chair (inherited from my grandparents).
It's such a cool chair, but the flesh-tone cover wasn't doing it any justice.
She's not a wallflower any more...this girl has come to party!
Some of you (particularly observant) readers may recall seeing the chair with this fabric before. That's because it was wrapped around the cushions for awhile before I pulled the upholstery trigger. Since it's a bold choice, I wanted to live with it for awhile.

I know some of you want to know the details on the fabric. And if I were a better blogger, I'd be able to tell you! All I know is it's an indoor/outdoor goodie found on clearance at Hancock Fabric. Last year. Ooops. If anyone has any idea, please let me know and I'll update the post. But for now, let's just gaze upon the Before & After goodness again.
It's a bold choice, but it adds a contemporary touch to this fairly traditional room. And the blue and green perfectly tie in with the rug, armoire, wingchair and new green lamps.
